Honeywell Aerospace Advanced Sensing Technology is seeking a Lead Electronics Engineering Technician to support multiple R&D projects and advance breakthrough sensor technologies for air and space applications.

You will join a team of scientists and engineers, building and testing electronic devices, troubleshooting systems, and helping bring next-generation sensing platforms to prototype stage.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician or related role.

As a Lead Electronics Engineering Technician in Honeywell Aerospace's Advanced Sensing Technology group, you will use your technical skills to support several projects in a fast-paced R&D environment and play a hands-on role in the advancement of research and development of emerging sensor technologies.

The Advanced Sensing Technology group is a team of scientists and engineers translating today's research into tomorrow's sensors for air and space applications. You will play a key role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of sensor technologies through hands-on technical expertise and collaboration with engineering teams.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside scientists, engineers, and technologists in an R&D environment, contributing to the advancement and development of cutting-edge technologies such as Atomic RF Sensors, advanced Optical systems, Inertial Sensors, Atomic Clocks, and Photonics.

In this Lead Electronics Engineering Technician role, you will:

  • Work as part of our team of engineers and scientists to develop novel sensing technologies
  • Apply your technical skills to build, troubleshoot, test and characterize various electronic devices

As part of our organization, you will:

  • Have the opportunity to work in an R&D environment on next-generation and new novel technologies.
  • Gain exposure to emerging disciplines including advanced photonics, optical inertial sensors, Atomic RF, quantum sensing, etc
  • Have the unique chance to contribute directly to early-stage product research, first-of-their-kind systems, prototypes, and experimental hardware
  • Work on groundbreaking Atomic RF, photonic, and quantum sensing technologies.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role

WE VALUE

  • Demonstrated experience in 2 or more of the below fields and/or skills within the last four years: electrical testing, RF circuit board assemble, vacuum systems, solder/cable building, FPGA coding, C coding, CAD design, 3D printing, circuit design and building
  • Have practical experience working with testing and measurement equipment
  • Sound technical judgment and opinions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting.
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.

The annual base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $88,700. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
