Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Lead Electronics Engineer to join the EGSE team responsible for testing Orion spacecraft hardware for NASA’s Artemis missions. You will lead a small engineering group near Littleton, CO, coordinating design, fabrication, testing and support of EGSE racks and subsystems.

The role emphasizes engineering drawings, documentation, manufacturing support, and comprehensive testing across power, telemetry, RF, cabling and computer systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing or supporting Electrical Ground Support Equipment
• Experience in electronics design and/or test of electrical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting EGSE end item designs and racks.
• Review and update engineering drawings and documentation for test equipment racks, chassis, cables and other assemblies.
• Support manufacturing during procurement, build and modification of EGSE equipment.
• Perform testing of ground support equipment for a variety of electronic component assemblies.
• Assist users during Orion usage testing and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Certify final EGSE products meet all requirements and that drawings/documents reflect as-built hardware.
• Research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems.
