Job summary

TrulyHired in Marietta, GA is seeking an Electrician to install and repair electrical equipment and to provide leadership for an assigned helper. The role reports to the Supervisor, Maintenance Services within the Maintenance Services department.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and 2 years of electrical trade experience. On-site, hourly pay with bi-weekly pay frequency; prior leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Educational Level: High School Diploma or HSE required.
• Certification/License Required: Valid Georgia driver's license.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in electrical trade.
• Physical Activities: Routine physical activities including walking, standing, kneeling, stairs and ladders, lifting 75 pounds.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; computer skills; proficient in all areas of commercial electrical work; leadership.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Promotes good relations and a positive image with customers, the public and peers.
• Provides direction to assigned Maintenance Helper to ensure tasks are completed promptly and accurately; reports non-performance to supervisor.
• Provides 24/7 on-call support.
• Completes and submits all maintenance paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintains parts inventory on the district vehicle and returns overages to inventory.
• Maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal usage.
• Plans, stages and completes cleaning, inspection, maintenance and installation of equipment.
• Initiates and completes assigned projects timely and accurately.
• Reads blueprints, schematics and building plans.
• Recommends types of equipment and supplies for purchase.
• Reports issues impacting safety to the appropriate administrator.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
