About the Job

Are you looking to join a fast‑paced, 2nd generation family‑owned General Construction & Architectural Design Firm in the middle of another significant growth phase? G‑Net Construction is offering an exciting full‑time opportunity for a Lead Electrician. This hands‑on role is perfect for a motivated individual ready to grow and take on leadership responsibilities while working directly for us.

Compensation

Hourly wage is based on experience. The position is full‑time, 40 hours per week, with standard work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime is available for 24/7 emergency calls.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage electrical projects, including panel and sub‑panel replacements, light fixture installations, and power feed upgrades for HVAC equipment.
  • Run fire alarm wiring and install fire alarm devices.
  • Install low voltage telephone and IT cabling, conduits, and new wall switches and outlets.
  • Read and interpret electrical and architectural drawings/blueprints.
  • Ensure compliance with NYC Electrical Building codes.
  • Oversee the daily use and maintenance of a company‑provided van stocked with tools and materials.
  • Respond to 24/7 emergency service calls as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on field experience in electrical and low voltage work.
  • Strong knowledge of NYC Electrical Building codes.
  • Current OSHA-40 card (SST card and FDNY Certificate of Fitness are pluses).
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and live on Staten Island.
  • Own electrical hand and power tools as well as PPE.
  • Experience managing a team or leading projects is a plus.
