Job summary

UNC Finance and Operations in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Lead Electrician for Maintenance Shop 245203. You will supervise shop staff, perform maintenance on diverse electrical systems, and install/repair components from service transformer to final device.

This role requires quick response to daily emergencies and coordinating with the supervisor on progress. Candidates must hold a valid NC driver's license and be prepared to support renovation and construction inspections.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid NC Driver's License or have the ability to obtain one prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrician in Maintenance Shop 245203.
• Guide shop employees in daily work assignments.
• Perform maintenance on a variety of equipment and electrical systems.
• Install and repair electrical systems and components from the load side of the service transformer to the last device.
• Assist Supervisor in renovations and construction inspections.
• Respond to daily emergency calls as needed.
• Keep Supervisor well informed of daily progress.
