Job summary

GMEA LLC seeks an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee on-site electrical construction, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence on complex projects. You will supervise crews and subcontractors, interpret plans, and enforce code compliance while coordinating with project management and other trades.

The role requires a strong leadership mindset, hands-on troubleshooting, and a track record of delivering commercial/industrial electrical work on time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commercial/industrial electrical construction with 3+ years supervisory experience
• Strong NEC knowledge and local codes
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license (or equivalent)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications
• Experience managing crews and multiple tasks on commercial/industrial projects
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily electrical construction across one or more sites
• Direct electricians, foremen, and subcontractors to meet timelines and quality standards
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide installation and troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and OSHA safety regulations
• Conduct site inspections and enforce safety protocols
• Coordinate with general contractors and project managers on scheduling
• Manage procurement and supply of materials and equipment
• Lead toolbox talks and field training for staff
• Review subcontractor work and closeout documentation
• Mentor apprentices and liaise with inspectors for code compliance
