We are hiring a Lead Electrical I&C Engineer to join our Architectural Engineering team, based out of our Norwell, MA office. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the United States.
The Lead Electrical I&C Engineer performs a variety of electrical and I&C engineering activities during the initial planning and design phases of nuclear plant power uprate and modification projects. Responsibilities include nuclear design and quality assurance activities, managing engineering projects, coordinating with client organizations, overseeing vendor deliverables, and managing discipline design activities, budgets, and schedules for plant modifications. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers.
Additionally, the engineer will evaluate, select, and apply standards, techniques, and procedures in the planning and design phases of nuclear projects. Experience working on interdisciplinary teams and leading engineers and designers to meet project milestones is essential.
Activities may include data collection and interpretation, development of project modification packages, design basis, specifications, and detailed engineering, ensuring conformance to plant, NRC, and engineering standards, as well as company policies.
The candidate should have experience developing Engineering Change Packages (ECPs) and familiarity with the IP-ENG-001 process. A Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one is desirable.
Effective communication skills are required for working with customers, attending meetings, writing proposals, and collaborating with project team members.
Experience with project estimates, review and approval of Electrical/I&C engineering estimates, and managing project activities is necessary. Knowledge of nuclear QA and corrective action processes is also important.
