Job summary

WSP currently seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer for the South Jordan, Utah office. You will lead electrical design for healthcare and related facilities, managing client relationships and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of post-education experience, a PE license, and strong PM capabilities, with LEED AP preferred. This role involves travel and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Professional engineering license is required.
• 7+ years of post-education experience designing electrical systems in industrial/pharmaceutical, laboratories, commercial, institutional/higher education, healthcare, or similar facilities.
• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical design, particularly in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical input on pursuits.
• Coordinate design with multi-discipline teams for drawings and specifications.
• Manage budgets, hours, expenses, permits, and construction documentation.
• Supervise and mentor younger engineers.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes and regulations.
