Qualifications
10+ years designing complex embedded electrical systems.
Deep expertise in power distribution, DC/DC systems, grounding, EMI/EMC, and electrical reliability.
Proven ability to diagnose difficult field failures using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers.
PCB design or review experience: multi-layer boards, high-current layout, power integrity.
Experience with mobile robots, AGVs/AMRs, or industrial automation equipment.
Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN bus, and RS485/industrial protocols.
Experience leading or coordinating engineering teams, including across international sites.
Clear communicator — able to translate complex technical analysis for field service teams.
Responsibilities
Lead design of 48V/24V power systems including power distribution, DC/DC conversion, grounding, and fault protection.
Lead and mentor the China-based electrical engineering team.
Lead root-cause analysis of electrical failures in deployed robots — power instability, EMI, communication dropouts, grounding issues, and sensor failures.
Review and improve PCB designs for power routing, decoupling, grounding topology, signal integrity, and transient protection.
Design and debug industrial communication systems: Ethernet, CAN bus, RS485.
