Optimized Process Designs LLC in Katy, TX seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee HV/MV substation projects from concept through energization under EPC contracts. You will drive technical decisions balancing safety, reliability, and cost while mentoring multi-disciplinary engineering teams and coordinating protection & control, relay protection, and grid interconnection activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an active PE license are required.
Experience in utility or EPC substation engineering, especially physical design and protection & control, is required.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering execution of HV/MV substations under EPC contracts from concept through energization.
Balance safety, reliability, and cost in technical decisions while guiding multi-disciplinary teams.
Mentor engineering staff and ensure high-quality design reviews and risk management.
