Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center in Washington state seeks an experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer to lead validation, test automation, and manufacturing test system projects for truck components and vehicle systems. You will develop and maintain complex hardware and software test systems, supporting CAN/J1939 networks and embedded devices.

You will apply broad engineering knowledge to solve complex problems, coordinate with internal customers, and mentor engineers while traveling up to 15%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with CAN networks (SAE J1939) and data acquisition.
• Ability to translate requirements into validation procedures.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical/electronic validation and test system development projects.
• Develop, improve, and maintain test fixtures and automated data acquisition systems.
• Apply engineering knowledge to resolve issues in vehicle systems and networks.
• Define requirements, plans, budgets, and schedules; coordinate with internal customers.
• Create automated tests and reusable test methods to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and integration issues; determine root cause.
