Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with science courses and 3 years of EH&S experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for hazardous, radioactive, medical, and controlled substances waste.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in lab/waste processing environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of chemical and radioactive waste ship outs with accurate manifests.
• Lead technician; assign daily schedules and train less experienced staff.
• Perform weekly safety and radiological surveys and maintain records.
• Manage radioactive waste processing and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Coordinate with vendors and officers for waste disposal and regulatory reporting.
• Support radiation therapy patients' room preparation and safety procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of waste, hours, and service reports.
