Qualifications

Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Neurodiagnostic Lab
  • Schedule: Full-time, 7am - 7pm
  • Hospital: Ascension Texas Hospitals
  • Location: Austin, Texas
What You Will Do

Lead daily operations of the electroneurodiagnostic testing area.

  • Participate in monitoring, guiding, and evaluating staff performance, specifically productivity and quality management.
  • Assist with coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow, and promoting situational decision-making and problem solving.
  • Perform the duties of a technologist. Provide consultation for and/or management of patients requiring complex or advanced treatment.
  • Serve as a positive role model for staff and patients by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Technologist specializing in Nerve Conduction Study obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
