Job summary

The Environmental Protection Agency seeks a senior economist in the Office of Policy and Regulatory Management, National Center for Environmental Economics, Benefits and Assessment Methods Branch. This position requires conducting and reviewing quantitative analyses of costs and benefits of regulations.

You will lead teams of economists, develop analytic capabilities, and ensure rigorous assessment of program impacts. Candidates must meet federal qualification requirements by the closing date.

Qualifications

• Meet qualification requirements by the closing date; basic education and specialized experience apply.
• For GS-14: 1 year full-time specialized experience at GS-13 level in quantitative analysis of costs, benefits, and economic impacts of government programs or regulations.
• For GS-15: 1 year full-time specialized experience at GS-14 level leading teams of economists and advancing analytic capabilities for benefits and costs of programs/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review quantitative analyses of the costs, benefits, and economic impacts of government programs or regulations.
• Lead teams of economists; apply economic research methods to quantify program benefits and costs.
• Demonstrate competencies in coaching, planning, leadership, problem solving, and strategic thinking.
