As Lead Teacher, you will implement Head Start standards for children, age 0-3 or 3-5, and their families, ensuring that services are individualized and meet the social, emotional, developmental, and intellectual needs of your students.

As an Early Childhood Education Center with COA and NAEYC accreditation and ExceleRate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 24+ hours of ECE coursework.
• Gateways Level 5 credentials required (Infant/Toddler Level 5 and ECE Level 5).
• PEL required or must be obtained within 24 months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Develops individualized learning aligning with social, emotional, developmental, and cognitive needs.
• Ensures compliance with Head Start, ISBE, and NAEYC requirements when applicable.
• Implements curriculum reflecting family and cultural influences to support development.
• Conducts developmental screenings and uses data for planning.
• Records assessments in the data management system and tracks progress.
• Mentors classroom staff, conducts performance reviews, and assists with staff development.
• Leads parent engagement activities linking home and classroom learning.
