The Port Washington Children’s Center in Port Washington, NY is seeking a Lead Early Childhood Teacher to guide a classroom and support young learners in a warm, developmentally appropriate environment.

You will lead the classroom team, collaborate with staff and families, ensure health and safety compliance, and model positive behavior while fostering curiosity and confidence in children.

Formación

• Experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood or preschool setting.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the daily operation of your classroom
• Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment
• Support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families
• Work collaboratively with Teacher’s Assistants and other members of the teaching team
• Provide guidance and support to classroom staff
• Maintain accurate classroom records and documentation
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
• Follow all health, safety, and OCFS regulations and requirements
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center-wide activities
• Serve as a positive role model for children and fellow staff members
