Job summary

Ohio Head Start Association, Inc. is seeking a full-year Infant/Toddler Head Teacher in Sidney, OH to collaborate with coordinators, teachers, and families to implement Head Start education for preschool children preparing them for kindergarten.

The role requires an ECE Bachelor’s degree with experience, or an equivalent combination of degree and courses, and a seat at a program that supports professional development and quality child outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires ECE credential and one year experience or Bachelor’s plus 6 ECE courses and one year experience or Associate’s in ECE with two years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Teachers with daily operations in the center classroom, plan and prepare the learning environment, and manage materials and routines.
• Ensure the safety of all children through proper supervision and a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Collaborate with Teachers to develop activities promoting children’s development across domains and support family engagement and trainings.
• Assist in developmental screenings and participate in parent/teacher conferences to promote intentional learning strategies.
• Master regulatory requirements to keep the facility safe, nurturing, and highly rated.

Education

ECE Bachelor’s degree
