Job summary

Generations is seeking an experienced early childhood professional to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming for the assigned classroom, monitor each child's progress, and communicate regularly with families to share insights.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration with a classroom team, adherence to OCFS regulations, and ongoing professional development, including required CPR/First Aid and health/safety trainings.

Qualifications

• A CDA credential or 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education with plan to continue further education.
• Current CPR, First Aid and Medical Administration Training (MAT) certifications are required; or willingness to complete them within the first year of employment.
• Experience in early childhood education and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming for the assigned classroom.
• Monitor each child’s development and communicate with families about progress.
• Provide supervisor-like leadership and supportive guidance to the classroom team.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and annual program evaluations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to OCFS regulations and center policies.
