The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, NJ is seeking an Early Childhood Head Educator to create a loving, nurturing, and safe learning environment for children from three months to five years old. • Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Judaic background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and implement developmentally appropriate experiences for the class according to the school’s philosophy.
• Able to work effectively individually and as part of a teaching team, including supervising two or three assistant educators.
• Develop positive relationships with each child through observation and learning experiences to support development.
• Maintain a safe, inviting, and appropriate classroom environment.
• Create a learning environment that supports emotional, cognitive, social, and physical growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents through daily interactions, newsletters, emails, and parent conferences.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings at all levels.
