The Learning Experience Horizon West is seeking passionate Lead Teachers to join our family and spread happiness every day. You will lead classrooms, mentor staff, and implement our L.E.A.P. Curriculum with infants to preschoolers, while communicating regularly with families about progress and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DCF 45 Hours required.
• At least six months of professional teaching experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required; ability to lift 50 lbs.
• ECE coursework or CDA preferred; degree or higher in ECE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor teachers; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Manage the classroom; lead a safe, nurturing, engaging environment.
• Be a growth-minded role model to inspire learning.
• Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants to preschoolers.
• Create a safe environment where children play and learn.
• Communicate with parents about children's progress via apps and discussions.
• Support enrollment and engagement goals with center staff.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to enable learning through play.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
• Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)
• DCF 45 Hours (Required)
• At least six months of professional teaching experience (Required)
• CPR and First Aid Certification (Required)
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (Required)
• Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree (Preferred)
• 1 year of professional teaching experience (Preferred)
• ECE Coursework (Preferred)
• CDA (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
• Must meet all state specific guidelines for the role
