Job summary

KinderCare in California seeks a lead teacher to mentor peers, implement its curriculum, and create a safe, engaging learning environment. You will partner with families to support each child’s growth and work with center staff to hit enrollment and accreditation targets.

Ideal candidates hold an ECE-related degree or CDA/NAEYC candidacy, CPR/First Aid, and 2–3 years of ECE experience, with strong English communication and physical readiness for classroom duties.

• Lead and mentor teachers, model behaviors, provide feedback.
• Implement curriculum per child needs and context.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning.
• Partner with parents for child development and communication.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community, and partners.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
• English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers, model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum with attention to each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner with parents to provide best care and education for children.
• Support center success; collaborate with staff to meet enrollment and accreditation goals.
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and community partners.
• Demonstrate outstanding service and organizational skills while multitasking effectively.
• Communicate in English with children and their parents.
