Job summary

The Lead Teacher at Jersey ChildCare LLC is responsible for the overall care, supervision, and instruction of a specific age group. You will design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assess children's progress, and partner with families to support each child's growth.

Qualifications

• CDA, Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of documented experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred, but can be acquired.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement the daily curriculum in alignment with center philosophy and state standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that adheres to licensing regulations and ratio requirements.
• Conduct ongoing observation and documentation (ex., portfolios, learning assessments) to track children's development and inform lesson planning.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide daily written and verbal communication regarding the child's activities, development, and needs.
• Direct and mentor the Assistant Teacher and Floaters in the classroom, delegating tasks and fostering a collaborative team environment.
