MedTrans is Medline's private fleet delivering lifesaving medical products across the U.S. Our 2,100+ trucks support a national network with 1-day shipping to 95% of the country. The Lead Driver operates a straight truck, building strong customer relations with timely, safe deliveries.

The role involves leading the local transportation team, loading from Medline facilities, and ensuring safety and compliance on each run. Home daily on local routes; opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience.
• Class A CDL; Licensed to operate assigned vehicle.
• Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of CMVs.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate Class A or Class B vehicle on delivery routes.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities.

• Maintain travel and cargo logs per regulations.
• Perform vehicle inspections and ensure fuel levels.

Job Summary

MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers that delivers our lifesaving medical products directly to both commercial and residential customers. Our fleet consists of 2,100+ trucks that feature newer equipment. We manage a network of over 50 distribution centers nationally and provide 1-day shipping to 95% of the United States.

The Lead Driver is responsible for operating a straight truck to transport life-saving medical products to our local customers. The Lead Driver plays a critical role in building positive relationships with our customers by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Encourage success of the local transportation team - serving as a motivator and resource to drivers.
• Serve as a liaison between the local transportation team and management - communicating goals to drivers and escalating information to management when needed.
• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A or Class B vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route. Abide by Medline's safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc.
• Unload and deliver product at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to the customer - addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery.
• Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience
• Class A CDL; Licensed to operate assigned vehicle.
• Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$26.25 - $38.00 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
