Job summary

The State of Ohio’s Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Dredge Operator 3 to maintain dredge material relocation areas and support lake improvement projects in Shelby County, OH. This full-time role requires a Class A CDL and experience with heavy equipment and dredging operations.

Starting pay is $23.28/hr with incremental increases, and end pay around $26.54/hr. Benefits include medical coverage, paid time off, and development opportunities for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in heavy equipment operation & maintenance.
• 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in dredging & related safety practices.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment to maintain dredge material relocation areas and lake projects.
• Acts as lead worker over lower-level dredge operators for dredge tasks and shore protection.
• Removes sediment and aquatic vegetation from waterways.
• Operates dredge-related equipment to haul stone and protect shoreline and dikes.
