Job summary

Sanofi’s Genomic Medicine Unit in the US seeks a Senior Research Associate to lead downstream process development for viral vectors, including AAV and non-viral platforms. You will design experiments, evaluate purification technologies, and drive scale-up with cross-functional teams.

You will publish findings, support tech transfer, and mentor others while upholding GLP standards. Strong chromatography knowledge and DOE experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's OR Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological/Life Sciences, or related field.
• 2+ years laboratory experience for Bachelor's holders; 6+ months for Master's holders; academic or research counts.
• Knowledge of purification technologies and operations such as Depth filtration, AKTA, tangential flow filtration, UF/DF, virus clearance and inactivation.
• Understanding of chromatography principles and separation methods.
• GLP knowledge and detailed lab notebook documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct viral vector purification experiments and evaluate new technologies.
• Develop, maintain and demonstrate advanced knowledge of column chromatography and downstream purification.
• Publish findings internally and externally as appropriate.
• Lead study design and optimize purification conditions; troubleshoot communications with teams.
• Perform data analyses and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
• Support scale-up and tech transfer activities with CDMOs.
