Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to mentor staff and lead daily operations in our home setting. You’ll support adults with developmental and mental health needs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, coaching and supporting Direct Support Professionals.
• Assist with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement.
• Ensure person-centered plans, behavior plans, and documentation are followed accurately.
• Support day-to-day operations of the home in partnership with leadership.
• Administer medications and maintain proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
• Transport individuals to appointments and advocate for their needs.
• Support individuals with budgeting, household routines, and independence goals.
• Complete required documentation including progress notes, incident reports, and daily logs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide clear shift hand-offs.

What You’ll Do as a Lead Direct Support Professional ( L DSP)

As a Lead DSP, you will provide direct support while taking on a leadership role within the home, mentoring staff and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
