Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System seeks a Lead Dietitian to assess and supervise patient nutrition, plan age-appropriate diets, and educate patients while ensuring high-quality care. Lead Dietitian - Part Time

The Lead Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing and supervising the nutritional need of the patients, providing age and developmentally appropriate diet planning and education and assuring quality nutritional care is provided to all patients in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to varied population of patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Master Degree preferred

Experience:

Prefer one year of clinical dietitian experience in a healthcare environment. Prior work with a mental health population strongly desired.

Licensure/Certification:

Maintain current registration with the American Dietitian Association as a Registered Dietitian

Knowledge:

Prefer knowledge of age appropriate nutritional assessments and screenings, nutritional counseling and education, dietary planning and food and drug interactions.
