Job summary

Lead Technician at XPO Logistics, Inc. in Dallas, TX, oversees shop personnel and ensures maintenance on class 7 and 8 diesel equipment and forklifts. You will order parts, manage vendors, and ensure technicians receive proper training, while complying with DOT, EPA and OSHA regulations.

Night shift runs 9:00PM–6:30AM; company uniforms and tool allowance are provided, with health, life and disability insurance, PTO and 401(k) benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 years of related work experience or military service.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA regulations.
• Vehicle inspection qualified per FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to obtain EPA HVAC refrigerant recovery certification within 90 days.
• Prior mechanical experience in automotive or skilled trades.
• Available for days, evenings, nights, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise shop personnel.
• Order parts and manage vendors.
• Ensure technicians receive required training.
• Perform routine maintenance on all class 7 and 8 diesel equipment, forklifts and trailing equipment.
• Safely access areas to perform maintenance and follow DOT/EPA/OSHA rules; lead the team to comply.
