Dobbs Truck Group is seeking a Journeyman Diesel Technician to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks. You will lead high-level service work, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety and quality standards in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• 12 years of mechanical experience on heavy-duty trucks or equipment.
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform major repairs on engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems.
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical, aftertreatment, and performance systems.
• Oversee and perform advanced preventative maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
• Complete high-level repairs across brake, suspension, HVAC, and related systems.
• Diagnose and repair advanced electrical systems and network communications.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools to support complex troubleshooting.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and mentor apprentice and technician-level employees.
