WM is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic in Jackson, MS to lead repairs on a diverse fleet serving millions of customers. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

The position offers a starting wage of $35+ per hour, with stable hours, a tool allowance, boot allowance, comprehensive healthcare, and a 401(k) match. Growth support includes education assistance and adoption help.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts.
• Work within standard labor repair times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergencies and breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Complete paperwork tracking parts usage and repair times.
• Review or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
