Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Proficient with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems.
• Quality control analysis skills – conducting tests and inspections to evaluate quality.
• Reading electrical and hydraulic schematics; interpreting service manuals.
• Strong organization and time management; prioritization under deadlines.
• Team player with minimal supervision and strong work ethic.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-facing presence.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a safe work environment and upholds company values.
• Monitors facilities, tools, and environment; reports to supervisor.
• Models policies and collaborates with other functions.
• Achieves labor sales and utilization targets as directed.
• Performs supervisor duties in absence of the Service Supervisor.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Provides quality control inspections of completed tasks.
• Disassembles and reassembles components per manufacturer specs.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components.
• Maintains positive customer relations and communicates needs to management.
• Plans and controls cost of repair jobs; completes parts orders and returns.
• Mentors and trains team members; maintains clean, organized work areas.
• Complies with safety policies; works overtime as needed.
