Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) at the full performance level for the Golden VA CBOC in Golden, CO.

The DRT provides general or specialized radiologic services with limited oversight and supports on-call and varied tours as needed. Applicants must meet citizenship, English language, and ARRT certification requirements, with advanced ARRT certs for CT/MRI/Mammography as applicable.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and English proficiency required.
• Certified in general radiologic technology (ARRT, R).
• Advanced ARRT certs needed for CT/MRI/Mammo duties.
• Completion of a 24-month radiologic technology program.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic radiographic exams.
• Consult with radiologists for non-standard exams.
• Set technical factors, positioning, and equipment for quality images.
• Record patient data and ensure correct image labeling and PACS accession.
• Uphold ALARA and HIPAA guidelines during procedures.
• Assist with radiology student preceptor duties and QC tests.
