Job summary

Point Wild seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to architect, automate, and lead our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud. You will own the reliability, scalability, and security of production environments, ensuring zero-downtime deployments and robust pipelines.

In this role you'll drive IaC with Terraform, embrace GitOps with Atlantis, and build CI/CD with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD. You’ll work across Istio, Kong, and GKE to secure traffic, monitor performance, and maintain SOC2-aligned controls.

Qualifications

• Senior/Lead level experience operating production workloads on GCP and GKE
• Expert-level Terraform skills with GitOps workflows via Atlantis
• Strong track record of designing, building, and maintaining multi-stage automated deployment pipelines
• Proficiency with Istio (VirtualServices, mTLS) and API Gateways (Kong)
• Hands-on security and secret management (Auth0, Dex, ESO, SOPS, VPC-SC, IAM)
• Excellent spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP and GKE
• Maintain and scale declarative infrastructure using Terraform
• Build, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
• Manage enterprise networking perimeters, service mesh, and API gateways for secure traffic
• Implement telemetry, logging, and alerting for high availability and fast incident response
• Enforce security postures and compliance (SOC2) and participate in on-call rotation
