Job summary

Alliant Credit Union is seeking a DevOps/Software Engineer to drive automation and CI/CD across development and production environments. The role collaborates with Software Engineering and SQA to streamline transitions from development to deployment and production.

Responsibilities include building scalable CI/CD pipelines, participating in architecture discussions, and contributing to technology roadmaps while advocating DevOps practices and Azure DevOps configurations within SAFe/ Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of application development using .NET Framework or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments to cloud environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions focusing on technology controls and DevOps/Cloud implementations.
• Contribute to roadmaps for new technologies, vendor packages, and tools.
• Ensure standards for performance, security, availability, recoverability and supportability with monitoring recommendations.
• Collaborate with architecture, security and other engineers to design, code, deploy and support software components.
• Foster DevOps culture and promote continuous integration/delivery with automation tools and processes.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum (SAFe) environment; plan, estimate and complete tasks on schedule.
• Support Azure DevOps configurations for SAFe ceremonies and optimize deployment/workflows.

Job description

Collaborate with Software Engineering and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) teams to ensure that code, services, and products seamlessly transition from development to rollout and into production. Responsible for scripting and coding with a focus on automation and continuous integration, enabling deployments to be broken down and distributed across multiple development and test teams for the implementation of web-based application development projects.

• Responsible to set up CI/CD pipelines to support the automated deployment of resources to cloud environments at a medium to high level of complexity.
• Participate in architecture discussions focuses on technology controls and implementation within DevOps/Cloud environment.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and development of roadmaps for new technologies, vendor packages, and tools.
• Ensure to standards and policies for Performance, Security, Availability, Recoverability and Supportability and provide monitoring recommendations for complex task.
• Collaborate with architecture, security and other engineers to estimate, design, code, deploy and support working software and technology components.
• Foster the adoption of DevOps culture and capabilities and promote continuous integration and delivery, and ensure the implementation of automation tools and processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall product quality.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum (SAFe) environment; planning, estimating, and completing tasks on schedule.
• Support Azure DevOps (ADO) configurations for SAFe ceremonies, collaborate with different teams to design optimized deployment, provisioning, and integration workflows, ensure environment stability, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Typical hiring range: $106,500.00 to $182,600.00 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
