Job summary

McAdams, a full‑service land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation and geomatics firm, seeks a Designer III in Texas. The DIII leads design efforts, coordinates a collaborative team, and delivers accurate plans from permitting through construction.

Qualified candidates have a four‑year civil engineering‑related degree, 2–5 years’ experience, experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred, and EI on path to PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Civil/related field required.
• 2–5 years of civil engineering or related experience required.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
• EI on path to PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts and coordinate a collaborative team to produce high-quality plans.
• Prepare site, utility, and grading plans for initial feasibility and project delivery.
• Set up comprehensive sheet packages for construction drawings with accurate redlines.
• Develop and refine utility layouts and earthwork analyses.
• Mentor newer staff and support professional development.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies to address review comments.
