You will own architectures, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with manufacturing, warranty, customer service, and sales to align product portfolios and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with heavy haul trailers or similar equipment preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage a team of product design engineers supporting production and in-market products.
• Own product architectures, standards, and design intent across heavy haul trailer platforms.
• Prioritize engineering work based on production needs and field feedback.
• Support sustaining engineering, product changes, and platform evolution (non-NPD).
• Ensure engineering support for production and rapid resolution of design issues.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Production to improve weldment, BOM, and release quality.
• Lead design reviews and approve engineering changes.
• Oversee ECN/ECO execution and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with FMVSS, DOT, and internal standards.
• Apply DFMEA, warranty data, and field feedback to improve durability and reliability.
• Drive design-for-manufacturing and design-to-cost initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to sales, service, and operations.
