Job summary

Viking Range in Greenwood, Mississippi seeks a Lead Design Engineer to drive the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of luxury residential appliance products. You will lead design engineering teams and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and product management to deliver innovative, reliable solutions.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years in engineering, and experience with CAD/PLM (CATIA/SolidWorks preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
• 6+ years of engineering experience in appliance, consumer goods or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Experienced with project management techniques/tools and data analysis.
• Experienced leading technical teams to commercialization.
• Experienced in 3D CAD/PLM systems. CATIA/SolidWorks knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Engineering teams to develop mechanical components and assemblies for appliance products.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Lead development of product requirements and execution of verification & validation test plans.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve manufacturability, quality and cost.
• Work with suppliers on component development and quality improvements.
• Support regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
