Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant III / Lead Dental Assistant to support dental providers, coordinate clinic operations, train staff, manage patient flow, and maintain equipment. This role combines hands-on chairside dental work with leadership duties, ensuring high-quality patient experiences, OSHA compliance, and efficient supply management.

Starting wage is $24.28 per hour; schedule is Monday–Friday with potential edits.

Qualifications

• WA DOH Dental Assistant registration is required.
• Completion of formal Dental Assistant program or 3+ years experience.
• Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience.
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire; TB testing annually.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across a full range of dental procedures.
• Lead and support back-office staff training, scheduling, and workflow.
• Oversee patient flow, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure excellent customer service.
• Maintain sterilization, OSHA compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage supply inventory, ordering, and emergency kit logs.
• Support insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and patient treatment planning.
• Assist supervisors with policy implementation, performance monitoring, and quality improvement.
