The Lead Delivery Driver position is based in Claremont, NC.

This role offers exciting opportunities to:

• Operate and drive a straight truck
• Provide "White Glove Service" to project a professional company image
• Unload furniture at customer locations, including homes and offices, upstairs or downstairs
• Assemble furniture as needed, such as attaching mirrors, bed slats, or wall hangings, following safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers
• Perform minor furniture repairs during unloading or in customers' homes
• Inspect vehicle for safety and performance
• Inventory tools, supplies, and repair kits
• Complete documentation like driver logs and delivery receipts
• Handle returns and pickups daily before new deliveries
• Submit all delivery and vehicle inspection documents with explanations
• Provide feedback and report issues requiring corrective actions
• Train colleagues on daily tasks when needed

Qualifications we seek in candidates include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of driver training or equivalent experience
• Experience with furniture or household goods preferred; training available
• Understanding of proper lifting techniques; training provided
• Experience driving a 26’ box truck or holding CDL B/A preferred
• Good driving record
• Knowledge of highways, map reading, and navigation
• Effective communication and professionalism
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Honesty and pride in work
• Ability to lift heavy furniture with a partner
• Good attendance and team player attitude

• Walking, standing, bending, lifting, sitting
