Job summary

E.A. Sween is seeking an experienced Lead Delivery Driver for our overnight operation. You will drive a 26-ft box truck on local routes, delivering fresh food to 7-Eleven stores, and you will train and support drivers to ensure safe, efficient daily operations.

This hands-on leadership role requires a minimum of 6 months of box truck experience, a valid license, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. You’ll be working local routes with home every day and opportunities to lead and improve daily

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
• MVR that meets company guidelines.
• DOT compliant.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and support other drivers.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull up to 250 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced overnight operation.
• Flexibility to cover routes and shifts including weekends and holidays.
• One year of Lead driver experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 26-ft box truck on local delivery routes.
• Deliver fresh food products to 7-Eleven stores.
• Cover open routes and shifts as needed.
• Train, coach, and support new and current drivers.
• Help coordinate daily route execution.
• Support drivers with route, delivery, and operational issues.
• Ensure manifests, FERs, DOT logs, and required documentation are completed accurately.
• Monitor fleet cleanliness and readiness.
• Reinforce DOT, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Assist with vehicle incidents and workers’ compensation reporting.
• Partner with the Distribution Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly.
