Countryside Daycare & Preschool seeks a Lead Daycare Teacher for Infant and Toddler to create a safe, nurturing space where children explore and learn through hands-on activities. You will help implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and maintain a clean, healthy classroom environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of childcare experience, strong communication, flexibility, and a love for children.

Countryside Daycare & Preschool is seeking qualified and dedicated staff who enjoy working with children for our family-owned and operated STAR3 center in Cresco!

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred and will have a higher starting salary)
• 2 years + experience working with children
• Health assessment with a TB test

What you’ll do

As a Toddler or Infant Teacher, you will help to create a safe space where children can explore and learn with hands-on activities. Day to day you’ll:

• Assist with implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers (Funnydaffer)
• Create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Attend training sessions to stay current with best practices in early childhood education

What you need to thrive in this role

A love for working with children, flexibility to assist where needed, and a willingness to learn.

Additional needs include:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of childcare experience
• Skills required: A positive attitude, patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with toddlers are a must! Additionally, excellent communication skills with both children and adults, a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Physical requirements: Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs., kneel, move and exercise with the children, stand for long periods, and pass a health screening
• Location: Our classroom is located at 133 Golf Drive, Cresco
• Schedule: We are open Monday-Friday (except major holidays which are PAID) from 6:30am-6:00pm. Currently, we have hours available from 7:30am-4:30pm, 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm (with a 1hr lunch).

Additional Expectations

• Follow daily feeding/eating schedules (posted in classroom)
• Follow correct diaper changing procedures (posted in classroom)
• Follow daily schedule (posted in classroom)
• Inform Center Director of any problems that arise with discipline, staff, illness, supplies, or room maintenance
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and other mandatory staff functions
• Straighten classroom and clean toys and appliances before leaving each day
• Follow guidelines for DPW and Keystone Stars

Compensation: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Since 1993, Countryside Preschool and Child Care Center Inc. has been a well‑respected daycare in the community. When the owner made the decision to retire, we could not bear the thought of the facility closing down, so Countryside Daycare and Preschool LLC was formed in its place.

As a working mom to three young boys, I struggled with the idea of not being with my kids all day to see every moment of their early childhood years. I knew the importance of a quality program, and I wanted their daily caregivers to recognize the unique individuals they are and to nurture the same values that we espouse as a family.
