Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education, or the equivalent (64 semester hours, including at least 21 hours in child development or related fields), and either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential or 3 college credits or approved training in administration, leadership, or management
- Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth operations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., including infants into and out of cribs for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers
- Meet background check requirements
- The child care director shall be at least 21 years old
