Raising Leaders Early Learning Center in Merrillville, IN seeks a dedicated Lead Daycare Teacher to oversee daily activities and support child development on-site. Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in daycare or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Job description

The Role

As a Lead Daycare Teacher, you will oversee the daily activities and development of children in our care. You will create lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children. Your leadership will help foster a love for learning and promote social and emotional growth among our students.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff in the classroom.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and needs.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with young children in an educational or daycare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
Nice to Have
  • Early Childhood Education certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with special needs children or diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education standards and regulations.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
