BIP is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to guide our data science team in developing advanced ML solutions and data-driven insights. You will shape our data strategy, drive innovation, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.

The role requires 6–8+ years in data science, strong Python/R skills, experience with Spark and cloud platforms, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of experience in data science with proven ML/AI impact.
• Strong Python/R skills and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with big data tools (Spark/Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• PhD is a strong plus; degrees in CS/Statistics/Math/Engineering accepted.
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of ML models.
• Define data science roadmap and governance.
• Mentor and grow the data science team in France.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business units.
• Ensure model quality, scalability, and monitoring.
• Communicate results to executives and stakeholders.
• Promote experimentation and reproducibility.
• Act as a thought leader in AI capabilities.
