Job summary

ManTech seeks talented Data Scientists with expertise in machine learning, statistics, and AI to join our Defense and Intelligence team at Fort Meade. You will develop advanced algorithms and data-driven solutions for complex challenges addressing the Intelligence Community.

You will prototype models, analyze large datasets, generate client-ready insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations while collaborating with SMEs and production teams to improve analytics in operations.

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI with Polygraph
• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Engineering, CS or related field
• Proficiency with Python and R
• Experience using large data sets to solve problems
• Knowledge of ML, data wrangling, advanced statistical analysis and modeling
• AWS or Cloud experience
• Ability to communicate complex models effectively to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ML, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms on large datasets
• Prototype and evaluate multiple algorithms, selecting final model by performance metrics
• Design experiments or models when training data is unavailable
• Generate reports and visualizations providing actionable insights for clients
• Translate complex data analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with SMEs to automate data analysis and integrate analytics into production frameworks
• Assess clients' readiness to integrate data analytics including technical, cultural, and workforce aspects
• Apply data science expertise to deliver client-focused solutions
• Stay current with emerging tools and techniques to improve work quality
• Lead a team of data scientists across multiple analytic efforts
