Job summary

DoorDash is hiring two Data Science Managers to lead pods within Merchant Analytics. You will guide data scientists, collaborate with Strategy & Operations, Product, Engineering, and business leaders, and translate ambiguous questions into actionable recommendations that influence roadmaps and plans.

You will report to the Director of Data Science on the Merchant Analytics team within Analytics. You will build a high-performing pod, raise decision-making quality and speed, and scale reusable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience managing data scientists or analysts and setting high quality and impact standards.
• Strong fundamentals in analytics, including experimentation, predictive modeling, and metric design.
• Excellent cross-functional partner and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and drive high-impact work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data scientists focused on high-impact analytics and decision support.
• Partner with Strategy & Operations, Product, Engineering, and business leaders to shape decisions and roadmaps.
• Define success metrics, build measurement frameworks, and connect levers to business outcomes through analysis.
• Scale reusable analytics frameworks, tools, models, and best practices across the organization.
