Job summary

BMC Software is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join the IZOT AMI Platform team. This fully remote US role focuses on building enterprise-grade ML and Generative AI solutions, working with LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI frameworks.

You will design evaluation methods, collaborate with domain experts, and deploy AI systems in production while communicating complex analytics to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Data Science experience with ML & Generative AI.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama, or equivalent).
• Hands-on with prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM evaluation, and AI app development.
• Experience designing performance metrics and evaluation frameworks for AI/ML systems.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or CrewAI.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ML and Generative AI solutions for complex business problems.
• Apply prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM evaluation in end-to-end AI application development.
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Define evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, task completion, reliability, and user satisfaction.
• Develop benchmarks, datasets, and performance metrics for agentic AI systems.
• Deploy models and AI solutions into production environments.
• Explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
