LG Energy Solution Vertech Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead AI/ML-driven battery state estimation, from R&D to deployment, in a fast-moving energy storage context.

You will mentor junior staff, advance production-ready models, and collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams across the company. Location in Westborough, MA with potential hybrid options may apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 10+ years of AI/ML and data science experience with leadership.
• Deep understanding of ML, deep learning, and statistics.
• Experience with large-scale datasets (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, SQL).
• Proficiency with TensorFlow or PyTorch and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Linux and Git; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with global teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI-driven battery state estimation from R&D to production.
• Apply advanced AI/ML and statistical techniques to battery data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy models in production pipelines.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the AI/Data Science roadmap.
• Stay current with Gen‑AI/AI/ML techniques and industry developments.
