Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a senior AI engineer to design, develop, fine-tune, and deploy Generative AI solutions using state-of-the-art models. You will build AI applications leveraging RAG architectures, prompt engineering and vector databases, with production-grade deployment.

A strong background in data & analytics and 12+ years IT experience is required. You will evaluate emerging AI technologies and align solutions with business objectives while collaborating across global teams.

Your Role

Design, develop, fine‑tune, and deploy Generative AI solutions using state‑of‑the‑art models and frameworks.

Build and optimize AI applications leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering techniques, and vector databases.

Implement machine learning algorithms, software architectures, and scalable AI solutions aligned with business objectives.

Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to improve products and services.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of overall IT experience with a strong background in Data & Analytics.

2+ years of hands‑on experience in Generative AI model development and deployment.

Proven experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments at scale.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong expertise in Python (preferred) or another modern programming language with the ability to develop robust, scalable, and maintainable code.

Experience with Generative AI frameworks, architectures, and model deployment.

Demonstrated expertise in:

• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Zero‑Shot Learning (ZSL)
• Few‑Shot/Multi‑Shot Prompting
• Advanced Prompt Engineering techniques

Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks including:

• TensorFlow
• PyTorch
• Scikit‑learn

Experience with:

• Git version control
• Docker and containerized application deployment
• Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS, Milvus)

Experience with Cloud AI platforms and services:

• AWS SageMaker
• Azure Machine Learning
• Google Cloud AI Platform / Vertex AI

Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Experience working with REST APIs, AI APIs, and cloud‑native architectures.

Compensation

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $150,000 to $210,000. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
