Job summary

AbbVie, a leading global biopharma, seeks an experienced Data Analytics professional for the Internal Audit team. You will develop advanced statistical models, NLP solutions, and automated data pipelines to detect risks and drive proactive audit insights.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate objectives into analytical plans, and mentor junior analysts while staying current with evolving data science trends. This role emphasizes integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related field.
• MBA/Master's in relevant field preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R; PowerBI/Tableau experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced statistical models to identify anomalies and risk indicators across enterprise datasets.
• Develop population-level analytics frameworks for ad-hoc audit testing and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with audit teams to align data science with audit standards and compliance.
• Build predictive models and classification algorithms to assess risk and prioritize audit focus.
• Apply NLP techniques to unstructured data to detect compliance issues or potential fraud.
• Perform multivariate regression analyses to quantify risk factors across processes.
• Create automated data pipelines and dashboards for real-time monitoring of control failures.
• Partner with stakeholders to define risk indicators and thresholds for alerts.
• Mentor junior analytics team members on data science techniques and best practices.
• Stay current with new data science technologies and audit analytics trends.
